HCF Receives Grant:HCF was selected as one of 14 local organizations to receive a grant from the Centre County Community Foundation (CCCF) as part of its first cycle of 2011 grants. The $3,300 grant will be used to fund a High Quality, High Volume spay/neuter clinic. We ask caregivers to pay $20 to help defray our costs, but often, due to the financial condition of the caretakers or because of the size of the colony, paying all fees for a colony is too expensive for the caregiver. This grant will help cover the gap between our costs and the fees that are waived in order to assist as many cats as we can. We are thrilled and grateful to CCCF for selecting us to receive this grant.

Barn Homes Needed: HCF has on-going needs for barn homes. All cats placed at your barn will be healthy, altered, vaccinated, and wormed prior to placement. If you can help or know of someone who can, please contact us.

HCF in the News: The Hundred Cat Foundation was thrilled to be recognized by both a state and national organization for our work with feral cats.

Alley Cat Allies, the largest national feral cat advocacy group, featured HCF in its 2010 summer newsletter. The article features the founding members of HCF and how the mission of HCF has grown and evolved over the years. To be recognized by this organization is a true honor and we are very proud. Last fall, we were also featured in the Pennsylvania SPCA newsletter "The Scoop". This article described the partnership between HCF and the PSPCA to renovate and open a spay/neuter clinic in the old house located on the Centre Hall SPCA property. We are grateful to the PSPCA for their support of this clinic.
